What if my school's administration is not allowing students to participate?

We suggest that you talk one-on-one with your adminstration about their decision. If that doesn't work you can still help by following us on social media, including Facebook and Instagram.
Is the Brooklyn Walkout only for Brooklyn schools?

Of course not. This event is available to all students from the NYC who are interested.
What if my school is already organizing a 17 minute walkout?

Definetely participate in whatever event your school is hosting first. However, if your school is only doing a 17 minute protest and you want to take part in a large, organized protest then come to Borough Hall. We will be at Borough for 2 hours so come anytime between 10:00am and 12:00pm on March 14th.
Who are the organizers of the Brooklyn Walkout?

Students from Packer Collegiate Institute are the ones organizing the walkout.
Is the Brooklyn Walkout actually student run?

Absolutely! The Brooklyn Walkout is entirely run by students at Packer Collegiate Institute.
Is the Packer Collegiate Institute's adminstration on board with the protest?

YES! We have spoken with Packer administration and they have said that they are okay with students leaving school for multiple hours. Packer fully supports that actions of the students, they just can't help plan the event. Also Packer has now cancelled all A and B Band classes for the high school students.
Is the protest mandatory for Packer Collegiate Institute Students?

No, the protest is not mandatory and is entirely optional because we want to be respectful of all political views. However, we strongly encourage Packer students to participate as it is a great opportunity to exercise your voice and truly take action on an issue.

How do I edit or remove the "FAQ title"?"

The FAQ title can be adjusted in the settings tab of the App Settings. You can also remove the title by unchecking its checkbox in the settings tab.
